Concept and Effect
The Rohner City Cube is more than a planting vessel. It is a well-thought-out system for greening urban spaces and creates a quality of stay where classic greenery reaches its limits.
As a standalone design element, it creates a combination of green space, shading and meeting zones. Squares are enlivened, climatically improved and visually enhanced. The City Cube combines architecture, function and nature into a sustainable solution for public spaces.
Use and Functionality
Whether on city squares, in inner courtyards or in heavily frequented areas. The City Cube creates new quality of stay wherever people come together and spaces are to be experienced anew.
The integrated system works autonomously. It requires no external water or power supply and reduces the maintenance effort to a minimum. The large-volume water reservoir as well as the intelligent sensor technology ensure a needs-based irrigation and a permanently stable plant development.
Mobile versions, forklift capability and the option to integrate seating create maximum flexibility in planning and use.

The Rohner City Cube stands for a new generation of urban greening. Through the digital monitoring of water level, soil moisture and nutrients, maintenance is precisely controlled and sustainably optimised.

Material
The planters are made of aluminium, steel or stainless steel. All materials can be recycled.
Colour
The metals are powder-coated. Any colour can be powder-coated. Rohner AG has 20 colours in its own range.
Dimensionally Stable
Thanks to the right choice of material and the cross-braces, the planters are dimensionally stable.
Resistance
The planter is weatherproof and winter-hardy thanks to the insulation. The temperature in the planter never drops below 0°C.
Drainage
The Rohner planter is drained at the bottom through a drainage pipe. For lasting function, the drainage pipe is protected with a drainage guard.
Water Level
At the bottom of the planter we have a 60 mm water level. This imitates groundwater and is important for the artificial ecosystem.
Seating Bench
A seating bench can be integrated into the planter. It offers areas to linger.
Water Tank
With the integrated water tank, you have a water reservoir of approx. 2 months. By monitoring you can see the water level.
Protection
Thanks to the highly weather-resistant colours, the planter will not fade. We can offer over 10 years of warranty on the colour fastness.
10-Year Warranty
Rohner AG can offer a 10-year warranty on the Rohner planters.

Spacer
The spacer is for installation on slabs or a sealed surface
Castors
The castors are mounted invisibly. The planter can be moved around.
Substrate
The substrate was developed especially for the Rohner planter. It is the heart of the planter.
Fertiliser
The fertiliser is matched to the complete system and does not attack the material.
Combi Measuring Device
Insert the device into the substrate and see the moisture, the pH value and the sunlight exposure.
Sensor
With the sensor you are always informed about the condition of the substrate and receive alerts on your smartphone
Cleaning Agents
Maintain the painted surfaces with the Rohner agents.
Lighting
With the lighting concept you can bring ambience to your garden at night via app.
Irrigation
Irrigate your planter automatically with the irrigation system
Surface Finishing
